First day back on the legs after my half marathon this past Sunday. I ran 5 miles in 37:30, for an average of 7.46 mph. My right arch is still sore from Sunday as is my right thigh (quad). I’ll be running another half tomorrow over the same route and will spend a lot of time stretching in order to give my sore and tired parts some extra love. Given the cold weather here right now I put on my old’ ’82 Cowboy boots (they’re still kicking) and my feet and arch feel like they have benefited from the raised heal of the boot. Go figure – cowboy boots as foot therapy.
