Liner notes – John Mayer – Continuum

John Mayer Continuum

Speaking of geat summer tours I hear that I should never have missed John Mayer this year on his Continuum tour. Rather than wallow in regret I’m listening to the album as I do frequently and just enjoying the hell out of it. I was looking over the liner notes and see that John left a note just for me at the very end.

“If you’re reading this with an instrument in your lap – get to work, and deep in it. We all need you. – JM”

Hi – we’re big fans of Mayer, too…I just ran across an old post of yours about “OJ Gude”…it seems OJ had a brother (Edward Charles), who had a son (Walter Edward Gude), who had a son (Edward (Ted)) and a daughter (Barbara), who’s my mother. What a small world!

Hi Ted,

I guess I should say hi cousin. :-)

Thanks for stopping by. I’ve had occasion to meet quite a few relatives now because of my blog post on O.J. Gude. It’s nice to have a semi-famous relative in the family tree to make search engine based genealogy easier. Too bad we can’t have them for all our family lines.

From reading your description it sounds like we’re the exact same generation away from O.J. and your Great Great Grandfather Edward Charles. Nice to see also that you’re in a related field. My wife and I are online marketers and web technology people and I see you’re in SEO/SEM among other things.

scary coincidences abound….we’ve got a son named “Maxwell”, also…! My wife and I are building up our “family” online marketing/web technology business, having spent the past 15 years or so as Technology Consultants with companies like EDS, PriceWaterHouseCoopers and Accenture. We’ll have to meet, one day!
